About Dupont
Third generation producer from the top region. Dupont is a family firm who are situated in the top calvados producing region known as Pays d’Auge. It is owned by the family and currently run by Etienne Dupont who took over from his father Louis and previous to that, his grandfather Jules Dupont. They have 27 hectares of orchards producing more than 6000 apple trees. Etienne studied distillation in Cognac.
Details
A clean fresh tasting calvados with distinctive pear tones. Pears are used in distillation to improve acidity. Apples alone do not provide sufficient acid levels , essential for distillation.
