About A.E. Dor
Respected small negoçiant. The house of Dor is famous for its picture of “Paradis”, the fabled cellar used by houses with really old cognacs to store, usually in demijohns. The quality of Dor was in its blending, managed by Odile Riviere. Tragically she was killed in a motor accident and the firm is now run by her husband and son, who is gradually taking over the business. Quality has suffered a little but some of the old vintages are still amongst the finest. The 1840 and the 1914 Hors d’Age No 9 are incredibly fine but expensive, as are all their cognacs.
