Castarede
Very old supplier of armagnacs. Said to be the oldest business in Armagnac and founded in 1832. They own the Chateau de Maniban supplying armagnacs grown on their old estate. They are now effectively negoçiant's supplying a range of vintages.

Florence Castarede does not distil her own armagnac's and her style is probably best found in this vintage. Crystalised fruits, almonds and pecan nuts all combine to provide a style that Castarede has characterised for most of her vintages. Distillation of these armagnacs is around 60 degrees which accounts for the drier fruit flavours and use of the baco and folle blanche grapes. Learn More -
