About Chateau de Beaulon
This small producer is based in a beautiful chateau in South West Charente and is famous for it’s blue lagoon. The chateau is open in the summer months and welcomes visitors to the lagoon and gardens. Tasting at the chateau is always welcome. There is a small charge for entry. The firm is owned by Christian Thomas whose son, Christophe is president of the Bureau National Interprofessionel du Pineau.

Much more highly regarded than other VSOP brands, it is an ideal starter cognac for those learning about brandies. It comes with a delicate complexity and wonderful balance.

| Grape Variety | Unusually, Colombard and Folle Blanche as well as the larger proportions of Ugni Blanc |
| Reduction and Strength | Eau de vie mixed with distilled water then aged in oak for c10 years before final blending. Only small quantities used as cellars are quite dry. No additives are used |
| Viticulture | Chateau de Beaulon produce eaux de vie from Ugni Blanc Folle Blanche and Colombard and allow the grass to grow between the vines |
