War time armagnac, with little left, but for all that it is one of the nice ones from the firm and representing really excellent value for one this old.
|Aroma||Fruity aromas of plum and pineapple.|
|Distillation||Made on the traditional continous still where the spirit passes over a series of plates before condensing to a water clear eau de vie.|
|Flavour||Complex flavours of Victoria plum and prune with a nutty middle mouth and hints of vanilla. Fruitiness dominates to the finish which is quite long. Some toffee and mocha also exist.|
|Grape Variety||Mainly Ugni Blanc and Baco|
|Reduction and Strength||40% abv|
|Viticulture||The climate is soft and humid with sunny autumns and the soil is made of siliceous clay which is poor in lime, giving Bas Armagnacs a lightness and fragrance with subtle tastes|
