This has greater depth than the younger armagnacs from Darbeau with good balance showing a maturity and balance beyond its years.
|Aroma||A rich plum with mocha, nuts and pineapple.|
|Distillation||Made on the traditional, continuous still where the spirit passes over a series of plates before condensing to a water-clear eau de vie.|
|Flavour||Intense richness with great balance and depth. A delightful Victoria plum and prune taste with a nutty middle mouth. Fruitiness prevails to the end which is quite long but some toffee and mocha exists in the middle.|
|Grape Variety||Mainly Ugni Blanc and Baco|
|Reduction and Strength||40% abv|
|Viticulture||The climate is soft and humid with sunny autumns and the soil is made of siliceous clay which is poor in lime, giving Bas Armagnacs a lightness and fragrance with subtle tastes.|
