Amazing, subtle aromas of pear, mangosteen and hay combine with a complexity of flavours. This is an unusual but delicious cognac with charm and elegance. It is not from the same barrel as our last 1966 vintage.

|Ageing||It was aged in 350 litre casks in damp cellars for nearly 50 years.|
|Distillation||Distilled on a medium, inverted, tulip shaped still probably of around 15 - 20 hectolitres.|
|Flavour||Initially there is mangosteen and pear but flavours of almond, lychee, macademia nuts and pink grapefruit develop.|

|Reduction and Strength||It has been very carefully reduced from 50% to its optimum strength of 43.5%.|
|Viticulture||Gentle, chalky slopes with relatively poor soil, ideal for vines.|
