Occasion Gifts

Occasion Gifts

Special occasions call for extra special gifts, so take a look at our incredible range of occasion gifts for your very special celebrations. Here at Brandyclassics we specialise in luxury, vintage cognacs, armagnacs, calvados and eaux de vie from single estate distillers. Our unrivalled range provides a large and diverse selection of gifts for the brandy lover. Because all of our cognacs, armagnacs and calvados are vintage or have age statements, we can offer unique and memorable presents for every special occasion from Special Year Birthdays to Anniversaries to Celebration Days. It is always touching to give or receive a memento of a special occasion in your life and brandies that do not have a ‘best before’ date really fit the bill. Stored in an upright position and with the cork replaced, a bottle really can last for many years helping those memories to go on and on. Our vintage brandies display the year that the grapes were harvested, great to pair up with a year of birth or marriage date. We have every single vintage year from 1928 – 2001 and a few more besides. And those brandies with age statements (for example 30 year old or 50 year old) clearly show for how long the brandy has been aged in the oak barrel. What a fitting gift to give on a special anniversary or one of those ‘big’ birthdays. We sell the very best cognac, armagnac and calvados, each one of which makes an exciting and unusual gift idea that you simply won't find anywhere else. To view the selection of festivity gifts for your celebration quickly, go to Occasion Gifts on the bar above and select the celebration of your choice. If you would like some advice on what to choose do not hesitate to call our offices on 01225 863988 where any member of our team will be only too happy to help.

Cognac Masters 2011 - Masters Award

    IWSC 2013 - Gold Award

This Grande Champagne cognac is produced by a firm in the centre of cognac who produce from three vineyards in the very best parts of the cru. A multitude of aromas and flavours which develop in the glass , but only if you can manage to keep it in there long enough.

    Aroma:
Aroma: Initially there is a deep smell of kumquats and dried mandarin skins, but this is a wonderfully complex cognac with a multitude of aromas. The nose develops to nutmeg, roasted almonds, vanilla, coffee and melon and if you can resist drinking it you will be rewarded with many more delicious rich smells as it matures in the glass
    Flavour:

  12. Dupont more than 30 Year Old Pays d'Auge Calvados
The 30 year old Dupont calvados is quite special as it has many fine qualities only associated with much older calvados. Dupont hs always made superb calvados and this is no exception. A very large difficulty with making calvados is the need to use pears for acidity which leave a pear drop flavour. In the 30 y.o. the pear drop aroma and flavour is not very noticeable and it is well balanced and smooth.
    Aroma:
Aroma: This is quite rich and fruity but not losing the apple aroma, combined with rose hip jelly and burnt raw tobacco
    Flavour:
Flavour: There is a smooth taste but there is a richness and style that is far superior to many other calvados products. Starts with a yeast dough flavour and develops into dried apple, finishing with mace. Good balance
