Another fine armagnac from the House of Delord which dates back to 1893. This Armagnac was distilled in 1987 and aged in the barrel until its recent bottling. There are nut flavours as well as damson and prune.
|Aroma||Vanilla, walnut and some oak.|
|Ageing||Aged in damp cellars.|
|Distillation||Distilled at around 54-58 degrees. Lower than other brandies, providing greater wine flavours but less refinement than cognacs.|
|Flavour||Rich damson, prune and nutty flavours.|
|Grape Variety||Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Baco.|
|Viticulture||The climate is soft and humid with sunny autumns and the soil is made of siliceous clay which is poor in lime, giving Bas Armagnacs a lightness and fragrance with subtle tastes.|
