Fruity and rich with lots of victoria plum and roasted walnut flavours. Whilst these armagnacs are more expensive than others, they are exceedingly fine and rate highly on our list of favourites.
|Aroma||A rich plum with mocha nuts and pineapple|
|Distillation||Made on the traditional continous still where the spirit passes over a series of plates before condensing to a water clear eau de vie.|
|Flavour||Great depth and character to this well aged armagnac. Intense richness with great balance and depth. A delightful victoria plum and prune taste with a nutty middle mouth. Fruitiness prevails to the end which is quite long but some toffee and mocha exists in the middle.|
|Grape Variety||Mainly Ugni Blanc and Baco|
|Reduction and Strength||40% abv|
|Viticulture||The climate is soft and humid with sunny autumns and the soil is made of siliceous clay which is poor in lime, giving Bas Armagnacs a lightness and fragrance with subtle tastes|
