Forgeron Vintage 2014 Colombard is Pineau des Charentes at its most irresistible. Built around the Colombard grape, a classic Cognac variety seldom seen in Pineau, it blends fresh grape must with eau-de-vie de Cognac and rests for 10 years in Cognac casks.
We consider it among the finest Pineau you will taste: sublime, exquisitely balanced and simply delicious, with white peach, pear and citrus, a hint of white blossom, and a bright, zesty finish. At 17.5% ABV it shines well chilled as an aperitif, in cocktails or as a sparkling serve. No added sugar or sulphites.

Additional Information
- Aroma:
- Lifted and fruit-forward: citrus zest, ripe pear and white flowers, with a gentle white-peach softness.
- Ageing:
- Ten years in Cognac casks brings depth and a silky texture, while keeping the fruit vivid and the finish clean.
- Distillation:
- Pineau is not distilled; it is fortified. Freshly pressed grape must is blended with clear, just-distilled eau-de-vie de Cognac from traditional Charentais alembic stills, then laid down in cask until fruit and spirit knit together seamlessly.
- Flavour:
- Pure pleasure: juicy pear and citrus, a peachy stone-fruit sweetness and a floral lift, finishing fresh and mouth-watering. Wonderful with Stilton or warm apple pie.
- Grape Variety:
- Colombard (Vintage 2014).
- Reduction & Strength:
- Bottled at 17.5% ABV. Best served well chilled at 4 – 8°C. No added sugar or sulphites. Keeps for several months once opened, stored cool.
- Viticulture:
- From Segonzac in Grande Champagne, where chalk-rich soils help preserve natural freshness and aromatic finesse – a perfect match for Colombard’s vivid fruit and floral charm.
