The firm of Baron de Lustrac is a negoçiant and buys armagnac from more than 20 producers which may be anywhere in the production region of Gascony. Their vintage Armagnacs are aged slowly at their ‘Domain of origine’, only disturbed sometimes by the cellar master who decides when it is time to bottle them. Baron de Lustrac’s bottling cellar is situated in the heart of the Bas Armagnac region, in Nogaro. There are three crus of armagnac and the best, which produces the finest vintage armagnacs is known as Bas Armagnac.
