This is produced by the oldest trading House of Armagnac, established in 1832. Light and easy on the nose , the prune flavour is in abundance.

Additional Information

Aroma:
Light and easy on the nose. Finely wooded with a hint of dried prunes.
Ageing:
The Castarede cellars are next to the Baise ensuring that they are always damp and providing the best conditions for these fine armagnacs.
Distillation:
Traditional armagnac distillation at around 58 – 60 degrees providing more complex aromas and taste
Flavour:
Round and long with flavours of light prunes and an almond tail.
Grape Variety:
Colombard, Folle Blanche and sometimes Ugni Blanc
Reduction & Strength:
Limited reduction
Viticulture:
The climate is soft and humid with sunny autumns and the soil is made of siliceous clay which is poor in lime, giving Bas Armagnacs a lightness and fragrance with subtle tastes
