Smooth and perfectly balanced, it’s rich, spicy and full of intrigue. There are less than 200 bottles available so it won’t last – it is too good to last. Aroma:
Dates and baked apples with spices and nutty aromas
Ageing:
In a small cask in damp cellars.
Distillation:
Distilled on a small still.
Flavour:
Dates, cinnamon, toffee and pistachio as well as more exotic tones of rambutan, mango and passion fruit with some sweet orange in the tail.
Grape Variety:
Ugni Blanc and Folle Blanche
Reduction & Strength:
Reduced slightly to its optimum balance at 45%
Viticulture:
The soil here is flatter than around Segonzac and the Coniaçian chalk is similar to that on which the town of Cognac is built. The weather is at its most even with only nominal extremes of hot and cold and low rain fall.
