In the olden days distillers brought their fine cognacs to the old quay (vieux quai) in Cognac to trade them with the negoçiants who would buy them to ship to other countries. Many of our fine Hermitage Cognacs still come from these traditional distillers.  Hermitage Vieux Quai Cognacs are no exception.
