A fine cognac producer from Petite Champagne, Bertrand produce quite dark and rich nutty and mocha style cognacs. The owners of this excellent house in Petite Champagne are related to another excellent house, Chateau Montifaud. Their style is however completely different, developing a greater emphasis on richer, nuttier flavours with chocolatey tones. Strangely they have called the younger 25 y.o. cognac ‘Reserve’ and the older one ‘XO’.
