We are delighted to offer this exceptional Hermitage 1992 Grande Champagne Cognac, a sister vintage to our popular 1995. The 1992 comes from the same distinguished distillery at Chez Richon and has enjoyed over 34 years of maturation, still resting peacefully in cask. This extended ageing has developed remarkable depth and perfectly balanced character. A fantastic cognac with wonderful flavours – we love this one and thoroughly recommend it.

Additional Information
- Aroma:
- Enticing aromas of toasted hazelnuts, mocha and star anise with delicate hints of honey and vanilla.
- Ageing:
- 350 litre medium toasted Limousin oak casks used exclusively for cognac storage. Currently maturing in cask with ongoing maturation until sold. Cellars located in the rolling hills south of Segonzac in the heart of Grande Champagne.
- Distillation:
- Distilled at Chez Richon on its lees using a 12 hectolitre still with a shallot shaped still head. This design allows virtually uninterrupted passage to the condenser, ensuring maximum retention of wine flavours for development during long ageing.
- Flavour:
- Rich golden hue. The palate offers roasted walnuts, butterscotch and cinnamon, finishing with dried dates and candied orange peel.
- Grape Variety:
- Ugni Blanc with some traditional Folle Blanche.
- Reduction & Strength:
- This cognac is carefully reduced over nearly two years, a patient process that preserves the delicate balance and character developed during its long maturation.
- Viticulture:
- Sourced from the rolling hills south of Segonzac in the heart of Grande Champagne. This region benefits from exceptional terroir and is home to some of the finest and most experienced producers in Cognac.
