Another great Armagnac from the Delord House. Distilled over 60 years ago the 1961 was aged for about 40 years and has a deep richness which is highly regarded by Armagnac connoisseurs.

- Aroma:
- Coffee and vanilla, with a touch of orange and cocoa.
- Ageing:
- Aged in damp cellars
- Distillation:
- Distilled at around 54 - 58 degrees. Lower than other brandies, providing greater wine flavours but less refinement than cognacs
- Flavour:
- Light, mellow flavours of coffee, cocoa and wood.
- Grape Variety:
- Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Baco
- Reduction & Strength:
- Delord minimise their dilutions wherever possible, but all of their armagnacs are bottled at 40% abv.
- Viticulture:
- The climate is soft and humid with sunny autumns and the soil is made of siliceous clay which is poor in lime, giving Bas Armagnacs a lightness and fragrance with subtle tastes
