This is a complex cognac but with an incredible balance. There are very few bottles of the 1966 vintage in existence so drink it slowly and savour every mouthful – it is a rare and truly wonderful experience.

- Aroma:
- Pear, mangosteen, banana, cedar and hay.
- Ageing:
- It was aged in 350 litre casks in damp cellars for nearly 50 years.
- Distillation:
- Distilled on a medium, inverted, tulip shaped still probably of around 15 - 20 hectolitres.
- Flavour:
- Initially there is mangosteen and banana but gradually there are flavours of ripe peach, lychee, roasted almond and truffle all wrapped up in a wonderful rancio.
- Grape Variety:
- Ugni Blanc
- Reduction & Strength:
- It has been very carefully reduced from 54.7% to its optimum strength of 45.2%.
- Viticulture:
- Gentle, chalky slopes with relatively poor soil, ideal for vines.
