    This is a blended cognac which is from some of their oldest stock; eaux de vie that was distilled between 1956 and 1963. Dried apricots and walnuts are on the nose and palate.

    Another gem from the cellars at Ch de Maniban, the 1968 this is distilled lower than most in the range and is probably the nicest of the three from this particular distiller.

    Flavour: Richer than some of Florence Castarede's armagnacs. This is much more nutty and has some toffee and roasted walnut flavours.

    A magical fifty year old cognac that has matured in old casks in dark cellars for half a century. No wonder this is so good, it just oozes charm and is one of those bottles that is hard to put the cork back into. Lovely mocha and chocolatey flavours.

    Aroma:
    Aroma: This has a superb aroma of rich toffee molasses, bitter chocolate, cardamom, sweet spices and ripe cherries
    Flavour:
    Flavour: Quite characteristic of the distiller’s style with a rich flavour of chocolate and natural toffee. There is also a pleasing taste of mature Muscat grapes which is present on the front of the mouth. This cognac is soft and completely non- aggressive providing very moreish qualities

    The mid 1960s produced some excellent cognacs from Petite Champagne and this one is no exception. This is a lighter style cognac exhibiting many flavours which develop slowly but last well on the palate.

    Aroma:
    Aroma: Needs to stand for a few minutes for the aromas to develop, they include hazelnuts, brioche, banana and gooseberries.
    Flavour:
    Flavour: Roasted hazelnuts with brioche and a hint of lime. Develops with banana, blueberries and a hint of strawberries with the zest of lime influencing the tail.
